Want A Free Copy of Midnight Club 2 on Steam?

You want more free games? Fine, we’ll give you free games! Er, well, not us exactly…but still, we’ll show you how to get one!

To promote their official community on Steam, Rockstar is giving away a free copy of Midnight Club II to anyone who joins by Tuesday, May 15th (also known as the release date of their highly anticipated Max Payne 3). Before you blurt “What’s the catch?”, I’m pleased to inform you that there isn’t one! As long as you already have an active Steam account with at least one purchase, Midnight Club 2 is yours simply by clicking “Join” on this page, here. If you’re planning on playing tonight, though, it looks like you might be out of luck. I just joined myself and haven’t received a thing, so I’m guessing the game won’t be sent out until the window of opportunity closes on Tuesday.

Midnight Club II may be a bit of a dated arcade racer at nearly a decade old, but it still received stellar reviews in its heyday. The game even landed an Editors’ Choice Award from IGN in 2003. And really, who’s going to say no to a free game?

Oh Rockstar, despite all of your games being blamed for the violent corruption of our children, it’s so nice to know that deep down, you’re really a nice guy.
